A look inside the home of an architect and one third of Red Deer: “Brighton House” is a richly layered interior inspired by the free-spirited aesthetic of the nearby Bloomsbury Group and a personal love for the Cajun palettes of New Orleans. Far from a static showcase, each of the four storeys reveals how bold patterns, painterly surfaces, and the use of colour become tools for layered storytelling. This same creative language is brought by the architect to his Red Deer projects. As with designing bars, restaurants, and hotels, this home shares a theatrical, scene-setting quality that invites one into expressive and immersive atmospheres. In this case is one of artful irreverence, craft, and sensuality.
